Regulatory & Supervisory Matters

PIB Law's mortgage banking team has considerable experience working with federal and state regulatory agencies.  Our mortgage banking team leverages this experience when dealing with federal and state regulators on behalf of our clients.  We prepare and file federal and state regulatory applications, including applications for new charters and state licenses.  We provide advice on the full range of regulatory and supervisory issues central to mortgage lending institutions.  PIB Law's mortgage banking team is fully conversant in the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”), Truth in Lending Act (“TILA”), Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (“HOEPA”), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (“ECOA”), Fair Housing Act (“FHA”), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (“HMDA”), Homeowners Protection Act (“HPA”), Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (“FDCPA”).  We also analyze policies and procedures for compliance with applicable federal and state laws and conduct in-house training seminars.  Finally, we assist companies with implementing the latest federal and state laws and regulations.
