SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 3, 2014 – Michael B. Goldberg, formerly the chief in-house counsel for Wells Fargo's Consumer Lending Group in Texas, has joined PIB Law as Managing Partner of the firm's new San Antonio office.
Over the past decade, Goldberg has been responsible for managing all Texas litigation for the Consumer Lending Group of Wells Fargo Bank N.A. and spearheaded the defense of a national litigation docket for one of Wells' key business lines operating out of San Antonio where he established himself as a leader in the defense of dozens of class action cases and obtained several seminal rulings on key points of law. He acquired a national reputation amongst his peers for being the industry leader in developing authority on key consumer lending origination and servicing issues.
"When PIB Law provided me with an opportunity to help lead and spearhead the firm's initiative to grow its brand and geographic footprint, it was a relative no brainer for me to join," said Goldberg. PIB Law is the best firm for clients operating in the business and financial services industry."
"Michael is a true star in banking litigation defense and having him head up our San Antonio operation is a real coup," said Sanjay Ibrahim, the firm's Managing Partner. "His leadership, talent and experience are going to be invaluable to us as we expand our unique brand of complex commercial litigation practice in Texas."
