Parker Ibrahim & Berg has elected Melinda Colón Cox to the firm’s Executive Committee.
Parker Ibrahim & Berg’s Executive Committee oversees the firm’s strategic vision and leads the efforts to deliver exceptional client service as a diverse and inclusive team while always exemplifying the firm’s core values.
Melinda has spent the past 10 years at PIB Law – she was hired as the firm’s first associate in 2011 and was promoted to partner in 2016. Throughout her career, she has been active in several firm leadership positions. Melinda’s practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions in the mortgage banking industry in litigation, compliance and regulatory matters, including foreclosures and bankruptcy proceedings, and handles all aspects of commercial litigation for businesses of all sizes.
As a passionate advocate for the law, Melinda has been very active in the New Jersey legal community for many years. She was the president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey from 2019 through 2020 and served on its board since 2008. She serves on the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Civil Practice Committee, the Diversity, Professional Ethics and Leadership Academy Committees for the New Jersey State Bar Association, and is a board member of the Rutgers Law School Alumni Board, Rutgers Law School Alumnae Network and the Cristian Rivera Foundation.
